Lynda Pudney

Lynda's therapist and tutor qualifications: Registered General Nurse, Registered First Aid Trainer, Registered Systematic Kinesiologist, Cert. Counsellor, Reiki Master, Natural Lift Facial Massage
I am a qualified registered nurse with substantial and broad experience - in medical practice, counselling, occupational health, first aid training and complementary healthcare.
While employed as an Occupational Health Nurse by a major European airline I drafted and set up the company’s First Aid Training programme, registered by the Health & Safety Executive both to the airline and to me. I have continued to train and examine for a number of organisations throughout the UK since 1992.
Following a successful career in nursing I developed an interest in complementary therapies – gaining professional qualifications in Systematic Kinesiology, Counselling, Light Touch Spinal Realignment, Reiki, and Natural Lift Facial Massage. I continue to train First Aid for industry and private clients and am the officially approved trainer for The Association of Systematic Kinesiology.
I feel very strongly that anyone teaching yoga or practicing complementary therapies should have a good understanding of the principles of First Aid, and best practice in applying that knowledge should an emergency arise within the practice setting.
The course is taught in a very relaxed way with emphasis on gaining practical hands-on experience and applicable knowledge. It is backed up with comprehensive course notes and plenty of time is allocated to answer questions.
After completing the one day course candidates will be awarded an Appointed Persons certificate which is valid for three years. This course is suitable for those seeking a qualification in First Aid and not exclusively for yoga teachers.
